This picture shows spectators (in fact, the local cricket club's chairman, tea-lady-in- chief and secretary) enjoying a game from a bench under an ancient oak tree, watching cricket where it has been played for over 300 years

 

This wide-angled shot captures the scene on a normal, overcast day, of village cricket in Kent surrounded by period buildings and horse-chestnut trees, with the village church towering over the proceedings
